BNS Street Team

As the Bare Naked Statues approached the challenge of continuing our success, we searched for confidence not only in our singing ability, but also in our friends and family. We found our greatest strength in a small group of personal friends here on campus that showed their faith in BNS through their cheers at all our performances. We looked to them and thought, “No matter what happens, there are these friends that have always been there smiling, and they will be here this year smiling as usual.” They have been the motivational ammunition for a bunch of singing dorks that somehow managed to become not so dorky.

We decided we want these friends, who have shown this kind of energy, to be officially affiliated with our group. We formed what we call the BNS Street Team. The BNS Street Team is two things: It is an official identity of those who invest themselves in the BNS mission. It is also direct involvement in bringing BNS entertainment to the campus.

What They Do

• Promote the group by aiding in PR work (designing adds, hanging flyers, talking up performances, etc.)
• Aid technical production (work backstage, help run lights or sound, design and gather props, sometimes even appear in a skit or two).
• Aid with non-tech production (sell shirts, check ticketing, etc.).
• Be recognized at concerts and shows for your energy and hard work as a necessary component of successful shows.
• Come to a few special BNS parties just to celebrate and show off your incredible Michael Jackson moves. Note: Janet Jackson moves are equally acceptable, if not more so.
